Where to find better judges?

You are very critical as to the quality of Polish jurisprudence; however, you started your legal carrier as a judge?

About “revitalization of the judiciary” I’m tired and bored for more than 35 years. In 1978 I was sent as a judicial assessor to Sroda Wielkopolska – the most neglected court of the region. The so-called outstanding work index was 8.0 for this town, whereas the average was 3.0 for the rest of the country. This meant that on average for your first hearing you waited for 3 months, everywhere in Poland but in Sroda Wielkopolska you waited 8 months.
